One of the most consequential outcomes of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Washington last week was an agreement between China and the United States to pursue a dialogue on artificial intelligence risks and benefits in November, together with a channel for communicating about AI-related incidents. Both governments announced the agreement.
